I was too busy to actually play anything in September. But I'm taking November off so I have time to check out a new MMO. I've picked Fallen Earth.

DDO got me hooked in sept and im loving every minute of it. im one of the people who wouldnt have picked it up untill it was free. I very rarely buy a game without a trial (some ive been put off by the bad trial experiance) but F2P drew me in.
Further on in the game i would happyly pay a bit for more content, still cheaper than a subscription and very good. ill continue to play untill something amazing comes out and gets me hooked full time....hopefully swtor!

I played them all. While most were good, none had that barbed hook like EQ and WoW did. I just don't have the drive to grow into loveing a game. Either it grabs me at the start or when the 30 days are up, I'm out.

I played Fallen Earth for a few days...then cancelled. I just feel like it wasnt finished, and some very simple things all MMO's have it did not...

Let my Champions sub run out. I understand that they are adding content for some of the dead levels, and that is one thing they need.

But they need to address some basic mechanics flaws. Give people a reason to play together even without the same missions. Let characters built for toughness be tough, and reduce the prominence and need for the annoying block mechanic. Make team support characters viable.

Still subscribed to Champions (and Age of Conan)...because I WANT to play it...but there are too many good single/multiplayer titles coming out this time of the year. Happened last year too...my game list gets overloaded. Some titles get no attention (Champions) while others get far too much attention. Fortunately that attention is only temporary until I get my fill of the game.

Hell I still haven't finished Fable 2 from LAST year's game overload. Wonder which games will get that status for next year.

I'm still subbed to Aion but my account will freeze on 29 Nov just in time to play Siege of Mirkwood. I only have one LOTRO character so when he's maxed out there is very little to do (LOTRO's Raid gear grind and half-assed PvP are not worth my time) so I branch out.

Still surprisingly playing CO. And oddly enjoying despite it's many faults. Not sure I can entirely recommend it...cause it takes a bit to get used too, IMO. But since I've cracked it, my characters actually feel more like heroes.

That being said, I'll probabley let the sub run out. Can only affford to play one MMO and that's WoW. It still holds many possibilities for me even after 4 1/2 years of playing. Plus I like to see my Gnome army come into its fruition. :)

Tried Champions, Aion and Fallen Earth.

Champions Online - Was in the Beta but didn't bother subing thanks to an ingame item shop.

Aion - Despite getting the collectors edition for free (Thankyou Tabula Rasa), I decided not to subscribe after the free month. The game was just too Asian for my tastes.

Fallen Earth - The only one of the three that I subscribed to and now remains the only MMO I'm currently playing. Nice little game, plenty of issues, but a refreshing change from the miriad of cash grabbing RMT/Item store games that now seem set to dominate the genre.

I think Fallen Earth will also be my last MMO, I'm going to go back to playing single player RPG's. I just cannot stomach the 'sub+box+mt's' finance model that seems to be everywhere these days. I'm getting to old, give me a game where I pay a simple monthly sub for access to everything in the game thanks very much.

Most definitely NOT. Playing Dragon Age on my PS3 and I rolled a new rogue alt on WoW. Figure that's what I will play till the next mmo, probably some time next year.

Still play Fallen Earth and will likely continue to for the foreseeable future. It's just such a breath of fresh air in a genre that I feel has for the most part decided on a formula and rarely deviates from it. Is it rough around the edges? Oh yes. Is it a bit messy right up the middle? For sure. None of that matters to me as overall fun definitely wins out.

Just hit lvl 25 with my main toon on Champions. I, like many others had issue with content...until last night. The Nemesis system is pretty friggin insane the more I think about it. I really enjoyed designing the character and the integration of my design was pretty cool (FemBot with a broken heart whose 'gotta Love Jones for my body and my skin tone'). The Nemesis point system will keep me playing, some of the rewards are just plain incredible. Inconsistencies still occur with mission story lines and the Blood Moon event has grown stale, end it already - bring on the 50 foot Turkeys.

Heraclea - I agree with you on the character power balance, my play style is tuned for Tanking but the melee (melee across the board really) is BUSTED. Hear me Cryptic - FIX MELEE! You can't have a hero-themed game and fumble the melee, it's like professional wrestling without the midgets.

I took advantage of the free Retcon and re-rolled my character with eldrich, dark and primal sorcery. So...why so much difference???? The damage is amazing, I don't grind as hard with my freshly Ret'ed toon and I look forward to advancing. When my toon was a melee tank, seriously - I was VERY close to returning to City of Heroes. That MMO is a tank's paradise. Cryptic: log into your COH account (you have several) and study the Tank. Copy the mechanics, PLLLLLEEEEASE!

One last piece to my rant, Acrobatics should not be a travel power, it should be in every framework and it should scale while you level just like all the other powers. I spent more time traveling with Acro than battling. Now that I have flight, the game has opened up.

Time to make it shine, boys.

I renewed Fallen Earth, but i'm not even sure i'll replay again.

It's fun, but i can't find the motivation to do quest after quest anymore.

i love the world, i love the open classes, but i just can't get hooked enough.

I was not interested in CO, FE, or Aion. I tried out DDO for a bit, but just didn't go for it. Too ugly, I guess. Plus, I didn't liek the character models or the way the hirelings worked (or didn't work, rather).

I'm back in WoW for the moment, though I will probably eventually gravitate toward Dragon Age (and possibly Drakensang, another game on my list of games to try) eventually until STO finally arrives next year.

I am looking for immersion, story, and soloability, with just an occasional dash of group content, something most MMOs don't currently offer enough of, imo. I think GW2 and SWTOR will be more what I'm looking for, but those two games are still a long ways off. : /

Played / Still Playing Aion. 32 Priest / 24 Ranger. The grind bites, but I'm more casual than most and like grouping (which is slower, but you don't really need to grind). I'm also one of the few that don't get the Aion crash.

I'll most likely be sticking to Aion until SW:TOR hits. I pray it is as good / better than SWG.

I am still with Aion but one foot is out the door. Too many bots, too much gold spam. I picked up Dragons Age and am loving that, so if Aion is not fixed I will be gone. Oh well, at least my wife will be happy that I will stop playing MMOs.

Still playing DDO but honestly it was merely a crutch until Allods comes out and thats going CB 4 days from now.....so .....

DDO is a fun game but their attempt to seemingly frustrate me into spending money has sadly had the exact opposite effect making me want to steer clear of depositing with them ~.~ still it is almost tempting then the game pulls a "well your level 8 all the XP to 9 and then some but I don't feel like dropping a sigil" or my leaste favorite you get one AH spot ...... it was almost tempting to buy some DDO points just to get upgraded to "premium" but prolly not going to happen at this point.

I tried DDO, since the price was right. ;) After playing a few hours, I splurged and bought the monk class, since that was always my favorite. So far so good, I'm really enjoying the game, as it fits my schedule right now: limited and inconsistent available time to play.
