Woo hoo! Now comes the competition. STO, Jumpgate and Black Prophecy. Let's see how this all plays out. BP has supposedly been ready to go to beta since just before 10Tacle went bye bye. Jumpgate was supposed to ne released beginning of the summer. And STO is due in Feb.

Woo Hoo for space games.

i dont really look forward to STO anymore, the speed of ships seems off, and i hate the fact that your piloting from the distant third person, would have preferred a bridge view instead

im soo looking forward to black prophecy over jumpgate, jumpgate just feels like the wow equivilent of space... while black prophecy seems to have the loor, graphics and goodies to make me ponder a second space MMO aside from eve :)

NT: "Ping me when they have a publisher."

Yeah, me too.

I'm excited for BP, the screen captures make it look so beautiful (even more than EVE) while STO & JG:E look OK but no where near as pretty.

STO might be good, but Cryptic has yet to impress me enough to try anything longer then a month or two. Thier inability to dangle the right carrots at the right times in CO and create a lasting and meaningful end game will keep me from trying STO for the first few months.

As for Black Prophecy, I am excited about this title. The artistic approach and style is a big grab for me, along with the background and concepts for the factions and design. What I am not well versed in is the gameplay itself. So Black Prophecy is still a wildcard, but something I hope will suprise us in the end. We need a good space sim and something more twitch based to compete with EvE.
