It's because the game is complete crap that they are having to do this. Heck even the beta retention rate is extremely bad. When you can't hold people with free what makes you think its going to do better when its released.

I tried to like the game for several months. But the game has issues and lots of them.

The best way I could describe it is.. If you take everything fun about World of Warcraft and tossed it in a trash can.. Because thats what Alganon is.. Everything that isnt fun about WoW.

I can't believe they are actually going to try and market / sell this game.
