That Dune and CairnBears are harassing newbies is complete nonsense. Off course we protect our (and Cairn's) properties if multiple alliances (read: almost every alliance) are pledging allegiance to each other to take over Cairn's holdings. Killing new players is something anyone will do, some people do it more often than others. Especially if you are enemies because of the racial alliance you're in. You sometimes may get resurrected if you meet a decent guy who killed you, but most of the time this doesn´t occur.
