But, it is way better than I expected. Graphics are fine. Sound is fine. Gameplay is fine. Bugs are fine (for a new release). Performance is varied, but once an area is finished loading, it is fine.
Best of all, there is a lot of freshness to Fallen Earth. It has taken a lot of the best complex parts of other games (in the same way that WoW took a lot of the best simple parts of other games), refined them, and put them into play.
FPS style combat. Crafting. Skill based character advancement. Faction associations. World scope and size. And much, much more.
I have been playing MMORPGs since 2001 and EQ1. Within the first 5 minutes of stepping out into my selected starting town, I was LOST!!!
Now, that's an experience I have been looking for again for many years.
