I also agree with Prof, but here is something to think about article 7.1 of the secondlife TOS has in there this statement "7.1 Governing Law.

This Agreement and the relationship between you and Linden Lab shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the State of California without regard to conflict of law principles or the United Nations Convention on the International Sale of Goods. "

Now this tells me two things one it falls under the jurisdiction of the state of California and Two It also falls under the United Nation's laws and practices for the rest of the world, remember watergate.... this is along the same lines because of the fact we do have our right to privacy even in a virtual world and Linden Labs even they are trying to protect us is still breaking a state if not federal law about listening to peoples conversations, only under circumstances should they be allowed to listen, and send notification that they are going to do so for instance they need to put "We are recording your actions and conversations on secondlife for quality assurance purposes" and it needs to be added in the viewer's login sequence, and they should only need just cause to record you and not do it intermittenly.
