"Well, that and I'm having fun."

Pretty much! It's a lot of fun, it's not different from anything other then the Abyss kicks a lot of butt, but for a PvE person like me who spends a lot of time running away from people (which is another fun on it's own.. :P) It's going to be a nice world to splash around in until FF14 comes out, I don't know if it's going to tie me over that long that depends on how frequent updates are, but since I'm a slow leveler that should not be too hard. :)

I'm at 24 and really trying hard to make it to 25 so I can experience the abyss but I just can't push myself to log on. It just isn't fun at all right now. I just tell myself one more level but I can't make myself click the Aion icon. I only have a few days left till my account is inactive so I'm trying to level before that but I don't see it happening.

Pushing yourself to level is never a good idea, at least for me it's almost sure that I'll drop the game within two weeks.

I'm not sure why you play the game (for PvP or PvE or both), but just have fun with it, if it's not fun for you anymore it could be it's just not the game for you.

Well Cindy, I agree with you. The problem is that a lot of people see leveling as a means to an end. I have played a lot of MMOs, starting with Everquest. I used to be younger, and more geared towards hitting max level as fast as possible. Over the years my desire has shifted. For one, I am 31, have a wife, a job, house, etc. I am EXTREMELY competitive, and I kick a lot of butt in PVP, BUT I know that I will never be able to compete with people in high school, college, without jobs, so I don't. I know that come level 50, we are all on the same level, so I will be able to faceroll some people, but until then, I enjoy the ride. I said this in the Assassin channel the other day, and as I expected, got a lot of "Who the #$(* enjoys the ride?!?!" I do, I craft, I group with friends, I do the dungeons, the quests, etc. This game is gorgeous, and there is more to this game than just a greatest hits, but you have to dig deep into the game to see to what extent. Like others have said, things like spy quests are definitely unique. I did The Faded Letter solo, and that was a rush and a half, and that's just one of many spy quests.

Go out there and have fun, don't rush to 50, there is plenty to see and enjoy if you just shift your mindset.
