I'm not suggesting it might not be fun to play but this is Cryptic so any connection to Star Trek will be as superficial and simplistic as you can imagine.... it'll look the part but thats about all you can expect, they are already writing a history that will free them to concentrate on the most atypical behaviour from all sides - expect lots of space battles, phasers and phtons being used to solve every problem, enemies realised only as brainless thugs and lots of planets with herds of dumb animals you have 'no option' other then to cull... go in dangerous zone Y and collect N samples of X, quell enemy uprising by destroying Z of ship Q, lead stupidily uncoordinated person/craft E to location F..... will likely cover the vast majority of your playtime.

It's Star Trek Jim, but not as we know it (I'm sure that misses the point but I expect there are plenty who really dont care.)

I wish you weren't going to be right... but you've obviously played champions online, and so have I!

As usual, the Federation's R&D, once it's in the wartime mode, will research the shit out of the Klingon weapons. Then the Romulans will steal the tech. And guess who'll proudly crawl to the Council to beg for assistance?

Heh, all the Klingons are good for is picking fights they cannot finish!

Also: agreed, pre-beta smacktalk is priceless! :)
