Tell me why I'm not surprised at this.

Though I would argue that CoX's CC has much more to choose from in creating a costume. It's just that CO you can do a lot more with it, despite it's limited pieces.

One thing though, where I feel CO comes out on top is with it's energy generator mechanics. I would die to have something like in WoW for every class. Never really having to worry about running out of juice and stopping to drink after every pull is a godsend.

Other than that, I agree..CO has a lot of catching up to do.

CO's costume creator really sucks if you want to make a female hero: the textures get garbled on all but the most buxom characters, there's less choice for female characters compared to males, as well.

CO doesn't have nearly enough cape styles, either.

And while the combat may be slightly different in CO, it isn't revolutionary. Both games are sadly lacking in any sort of strategy.

I still like both, but I'm looking forward to DCUO.

I can't agree with the no strategy on either front. There are plenty of fights where I have to plan what I'm doing before just running into a fight in both games.

I've only made one female character though, so I can't dispute that. the on I made was pretty much a naked fairy with rainbow colored skin. I made her with the leapord skin i believe.

I've also only made one toon that needed a cape so far, but I found the one I wanted pretty fast. Also keep in mind what they lack in capes they make up for in other backwear and you get the capes right off the bat.

DC Universe wins in the end. So let's have it come out already.

We can all agree for the most part MMO's are repetitive right?

CoH takes that to the max and as much as I liked it I don't think it holds a candle to the fun that I have in CO.

I've played it City of Heroes/Villains for the last four years. Mostly because it was the only choice for a superhero MMO. I can also say that based on that time frame it's totally unfair to compare a matured MMO to an infant one. In the end, it was the farming, the resource seller spam and the lack of new content that made me leave. Even if you put the graphic component aside it feels long in the tooth. Its list driven character creation mechanics are not that versatile and quite frankly, limiting and not that fun.

Champions Online is fun right now. It's fresh and new. But can it hold up against the SEO machine? Based on pure resources, maybe not. But based on Sony's inability to get out of its own way in regards to its own corporate culture... Perhaps.

Cryptic certainly did not do itself any favors with its method of on-the-fly revision during the launch of Champions Online. And for many of my friends who are converts from City of Heroes/Villains, the learning curve has been steep. They're just not used to the mechanics and the custom power selection has left many creating characters that are difficult to play.

Bottom line, Champions Online is the winner of my money right now. But I have high hopes for both Champions Online and DCUO.

City of Heroes is a good game but the spam, mission creator farming/un-originality (which is driven by the players) all combine to dilute the game. Additionally there just are not enough players running the storyline mission arcs. Mostly because the mission arcs have not changed in years and newly added mission arcs are exhausted within a month of casual play.

I'm not sure I really agree with the whole idea that CoH even really has more content. I remember looking through the hoods or animal heads in the game, and the opinions are very limited; while the same is true of CO, CoH has had several years to add more hoods, or animal heads (etc), and they haven't.

To put this another way, CO's level of content is generally unproven, we have no idea how much or how little Cryptic will add over the life of the mmo, but we do know how much content has been added over CoH's time, and I'm not really sure it's actually a whole lot, especially not recently.

I'm enjoying CO far more then I did CoH.
