I just can't take a game seriously that features a hamster in armor trying to look heroic.

I was in closed.

Didn't interest me.

That said, it might have improved.

EE has come a long way in just a few months.. The devs have been very busy.

There are still plenty of beta quirks to work around, but the class system is mostly intact now along with some pretty extensive skill trees for each class.

..lots of races to choose from (22 right now) and each are customizable with a color palette for each body section, eye color, detail, etc.

Definitely worth checking out again if you haven't in a while.

There is also a client shortcut in your Start menu if you'd like to play full screen instead of using the browser:

Start / All Programs / Sparkplay Media / Play Earth Eternal

This miserable cynical ole' git loves the game. Its more fun that several "serious" fantasy game. There is oodles of tongue-in-cheek humor and references to various bits of popular culture (think movies/shows with anthropormorphic animals). Use the client rather than browser version. I entered the CB with very low expectations and was rather pleasantly surprised. Give it a chance and you might enjoy it.

It does have a few problems... notably serious lag.

Made it to 29.5 in CB and nearing 20 in OB (pre).

Give it a chance and you might be pleasantly surprised.

Now that the NDA has dropped:

* Like the website presentation & team.

* Still intrigued by the ambitious 'player housing' valley system (for some time after launch).

* HATED playing this - found it to be an empty soul-less husk of a EQ & WoW era MMO, where every race is the same and every class is a bland "build x points for specials" generico.

So overall; not positive at all, but I respect their cutesy website building skills and ambition.

It's a kid-friendly standard fantasy MMO with very charming, colorful graphics and a game engine that looks several years old. Animation and characters look great and they have added enough ground clutter to make the landscape look natural but the texture blocks are big and the world design is a bit chunky.

It's nothing new but fun.

Not bad, but it feels pretty generic so far. I'm still working through the newbie experience, and am about to leave Corsica for a new city. I like the browser-based nature of it, and its better than some korean f2p games I've seen, but so far its not really sucking me in. I'll keep trying, and it's a pretty fast install for people to try it out.

Is it really browser-based, or just browser-launched like Free Realms?

Looking at the gameplay of Earth Eternal video here - http://www.techarena.in/video/24399-earth-eternal-pc-gameplay.htm, it looks good but does anyone have actually played it ....
