I hope for all our sakes that "BOs" doesn't catch on else these will be very smelly ships. I'm fine with "officers". There comes a point when internet short-hand laziness can take things a step too far.

The abbreviation used in the address to the webpage is "BOff". I think we should use that:P

So true. Like the fact that Bridge Officer is so hard to type. I can understand someone wanting to write MMO, but come on.

Although, Massively -1 for abbreviating in your article. As a journalist, you're better than some lazy developers and players who can't bother to type a few more letters.

I am really really really really looking forward to this game. It has so much potential, I think it could win the Nobel Peace Prize next year.

The correct acronym for these officers in-game should be OOD which stands for Officer of the Deck.

Except there can be only one OOD at any given time, and that spot is usually only used when in port.. the term Bridge Officers is actually quite correct, or they can also Use Officer of the Watch, if they are underway and there is only one on duty.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned the missing apostrophe in "Quarks bar" (twice). To the brig with you, Mr. Horner, and don't come out unless your BO's sorted too! ;)

I've noticed it, but honestly I'm trying to live with the mistake so I don't make it again.

Ehhh, don't let it bother you unduly, the weight of your excellent STO reporting so far more than makes up for an errant apostrophe. In fact, it's probably a Klingon apostrophe, so it's there, but it's just cloaked. Scanning for neutron surges...
