I agree with Cyspeth -- it is the worst I've ever seen in any MMO. I can't see how their advertising even brings them business. It's so pervasive and obnoxious, literally spam filling your entire chat box, in every channel.

IMO, NCSoft isn't doing enough to combat this. They can say their GMs are working hard as much as they want, but I've seen the same gold-seller standing next to the mailbox in Akarios village 24 hours later, still spamming the channels.

A Korean-developed NCsoft game with gold farmers, sellers, spammers and bots!? Whatever next!? They never effectively did anything for LII and so don't see them doing anything effective for Aion either.

I don't think it's THAT bad once you block them. Not worse than in other MMO's, surely.

The Gold Spam is terrible but can be easily avoided by creating custom tabs and if you need to be in LFG channel just block them takes 2 secs

I would think that they'd address these issues as a reputation management issue (if they don't care about the impact on the game, or the players). The two main negative things that everyone wrote about prior to closed beta were "it's going to be just another Asian grindfest" which turned out not to be true, and "Lineage II had more bots than players, and constant goldspam and Aion will too" - which is at least partly true. If a company has a bad reputation for customer service, being friendly to goldfarmers and botters, and basically not caring about their players, I think it affects sales/subscriptions on current and future games.

The qq is at least as annoying as the spam. Seriously, it takes about a minute to block the spammers when you log on. Unfortunately, you have the rest of your gaming session to put up with the "legit" chat.

I'm glad I play on Fregion. The most gold spammers I've ever seen at once is TWO.

I simply block the two spammers and I can play for many hours, sometimes a day, without having to block another.

We are all for banning spammers in the game. But sad to say, NcSoft is using the wrong approach by mass banning. It's the equivalent of shooting everything that moves! And to add salt to the wound, the bannings occurred on a Friday! Imagine the time lost waiting for customer support to resume operations and finally read your email! This move has really hurt a lot of Aion players. I've seen a lot of posts today from disgusted players.
