Turbine's DDO: Unlimited is without a doubt a bold and creative move in the MMO industry, and so we like to pay attention to their content packs for the game -- especially since we know there are those of you out there who're gaming on a budget.

This video for Sorrowdusk Isle does a very good job of visually conveying what you'll get with your purchase, but somehow the music feels, um, well wrong. The techno-inspired beats aren't bad, it's just odd when watching warriors slay monsters feels a little too much like a rave from the early 90s. Then again, who're we to judge? Maybe that's the next Adventure Pack: The House of Trance Jungle.

Eberron is pretty much considered steam punk, if that helps.

Despite Turbine doing damndest to make it look high fantasy, anyways.

I don't know, looking at stormreach, espically the various house districts, it looks quite Steampunk to me, the carvans and all of House K stand out as steam powered.

ya I don't like their marketing department, all their videos either have horrid non genre suited music or worse that chick with the HORRID voice overs.

If you can't do proper VO, just go mute with some nice classical inspired fantasy music :p much better than this crap.

I just started with Sorrowdusk on my first DDO char, so far I like it over Tangleroot, actually more than one instance to explore in this one, and loads of mobs. Many trolls however so you need a weapon with fire/acid otherwise your ass is going to be chewed. Fun tho at any rate.
