I tried this new iteration last night having become too frustrated with some texture issues in the otherwise very good Snowglobe and I found Imprudence to be wonderful. The Minimap enhancements are a boon to anyone who needs to track other residents and the ability to change environment settings so easily is great for photography and role play. My one disappointment so far is that Imprudence doesn't like the underwear layers. Tattoos, t-shirts, panties, and other items can be worn but not taken off, merely replaced with another item on the same layer. These layers don't show in the Edit Appearance window, either. Of course, the viewer is a Beta. Gotta expect some fun. Overall, this is a great effort. Thanks to everyone involved.

these are all emerald features, its sounds to me that one ...the reviewer needs to use both clients before commenting

Second it sounds like imprudence got into the Emerald SVN

If you read the patch notes, you'll see that several of the features came from Emerald, some from other sources and some are original.

I'm just curious as to why Imprudence receives recurring press time, while I've yet to witness a GreenLife Emerald article on Massively? Particularly since many of these features listed above have been in Emerald for at least a month (and several are specifically pointed out as being brought in from Emerald's development directly).

I've also heard that LL itself reported during an office hours that Emerald has reached 30-40% concurrency usage (and climbing rapidly), which surely would mean that it is the #2 Viewer, behind the Official Release.

I appreciate learning about these other development lines, and Tateru always does an excellent job at gathering the details. I am just curious why this one Viewer seems to receive more attention?

We haven't been able to verify the licensing status of most of the other viewers. "Contributory infringement" isn't a very nice term. More than half of the available third-party and after-market viewers appear to be (or have been) in infringement of copyrights and licenses.

It's a tangle to sort out and we've just not had the time to do all the necessary legwork to sort it out. Imprudence is the only one that we've verified with certainty.

Thanks for the explanation, Tateru. I knew there had to be a reason, as "casual oversight" is not something I would use to describe your journalism. :)

Hey, don't underestimate my ability to miss things or make mistakes! I can do both of those too! ;)

I have a question about Emerald. I am having issues with my particle beam when I point to something (ex. hearts, fire, flag, emerald........). I am also having issues when I am a Neko and my prints are showing up for me but everyone else can see them. I tried to have the same settings with Cool Viewer and Emerald but that didn't work either. Any ideas on what is wrong?
