Congrats to Origine for their accomplishment.

I have to say though after watching the video, I was little disappointed with the enemies they faced. The first scene where they are at some sorta shrine on a floating island, the mobs were few and uncoordinated, which made it look easy to overwhelm them with shear quantity of players. Would've been cool to see the mobs adjusted to the amount of players attacking. Also would been more of a challenge facing a coordinated defense by mobs.

I noticed there was very little to no resistance when they attacked the doors of the fortress. It would've been cool to see players flanked by mobs.

Lastly the main boss never moved, he was hardly a threat to those who were in back row launching ranged shots. It would have been so much more entertaining to see the Boss go on a rampage and attack the vulnerable players.

In general the mobs could use a little boost in Artificial intelligence, or I should say better scripting.

Still despite my criticism, I'm not takening anything away from Origine's accomplishment. They did very well with the resistance they faced.

I noticed these things too Cray, but it's important to remember that these fights are designed to be done with everyone else in the world beating on you. The monsters themselves are there to put up resistance, but not a fight. The enemy players who can rush in and interrupt your raid in the middle of this fight are what these battles are designed around.

Many of the battles in Aion are nothing more than tank and spank because of this PvPvE balance. Sure, bosses have their special moves and such when they get down to X amounts of health, but the real challenge is the other players.

But, sadly, when you're the only group large enough and quick enough to get into the Abyss and set up a raid like this... well then, you're not going to have much resistance from the other side when you're first amongst all. :D
