This just gave me some hope for this game, from what I heard so far it's seemed pretty solo determined game. But I'm loving this mass event to open new content up.

Got a friend in the beta and he's said it is _EXACTLY_ like wow, right down to the UI being almost exactly the same. the only functional difference being the EVE-like study system.

I'm kinda curious exactly what niche of players they're looking for - is this like the stepping stone between runescape and wow? O_o

"only functional difference being the EVE-like study system"

That's a pretty fundamental difference, actually.

I should've made it more clear - the EVE-like study system is replacing WoW's "Talents" - it's still a totally class-based MMO, "study" just gives you minor bonuses, like 1% crit per level studied, etc.

It's just a different way of differentiating between people of same level, same class.

Should have been Free2Play like Runes of Magic. This game would be Free2Play like what happened to Chronicles of Spellborn launched. Aiming for Pay2Play market where if I want to play fantasy game like this and proven formula. Then I'd rather go for WoW or Aion. This game is going to confess its mistakes in the future. And now it works like a ticking time bomb.
