I was once saved by a horse that was trained to stop at corners. I was young and riding along with a friend. My horse got spooked and took off. My foot slipped out of the stirup and I was slowly sliding off the side when the horse suddenly stopped because it came to a street corner. Luckily that was when I fell off. Good times.
