Lack of direction? I think that's fantastic for both children and adults. Let them explore the world and figure things out on their own. There's already too much hand-holding going on in games these days.

Three miles, uphill, in the snow..?
Seriously, you sound like Old Man Laephis from the amusement park.

You would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for those pesky kids.

Let me guess Amana, you're the type of gamer that buys the "strategy guide" at the same you buy the game. No challenges for you, you need it all spelled out right from the start! You probably had your parents build your Lego models for you, too.

A really odd MMO. Looks almost like they are trying to be Harvest Moon Online from the way Tipa describes the farming and crafting.

When I played the farming part back in the early press release, I really thought I was playing Harvest Moon for a while. In fact, one of the GM staff came into my room and tried to urge me to play the "other parts of their fantastic game," and my response was, "What could be more awesome than Harvest Moon Online?"

It sounded mildly offensive... but when you compare a game to Harvest Moon, no one should take offense. Lol.

I find it somewhat worrying that, in a screenshot for a game aimed at kids, there's a toon called "Studmuffin". Sure, it's not the most offensive name in the history of online gaming, but still. It would certainly give me cause for pause were my daughter old enough to play the game (luckily for me she's not, and seems mostly to be transfixed by Eve Online).
