I enjoyed my first month of playing DF but just felt no desire to sub after the time expired. I just enjoy exploration as my main focus and that was very difficult in the game, but thats ok, its meant to be a brutal PVP world and I think they acheived that.

I do however find constant attacks on the skill grinding in DF odd. While I do not find bloodwalling very entertaining or worth my time, neither do I find grouping up with a 10 man raid to run the same dungeons over and over again to obtain gear fun. I suppose it is just a matter of what you like to do, but is dropping the same mobs for hours on end to aquire reputation or running an instance constantly to get an item that much different from grinding up a skill in DF?

When LOTRO or WOW release new content it is a made rush to just get it done by groups, who can drop a boss first or hit the level cap fastest. Isn't that similar to rushing to level up a skill?

Just an observation
