Wow, another article about Eve, gee thanks. Seriously scale down the number of eve articles to the number of people who play it. TYVM, of course you are just going to delete my account again for speaking sacrilege about EVE.

Wow, yet another whiner, whinging about EVE articles, gee thanks. Seriously scale down the number of whines and write more quality EVE articles.

Getting so old now...

Also, on topic - last tournament had me totally glued to the screen. The quality of the finals was quite excellent. Looking forward to this weekend.

Umm... EVE Online is the 2nd most played subscription-based MMOG in the West. It makes sense for a MMOG site like Massively to cover it more frequently than something like Warhammer, EverQuest 2, Champions or Age of Conan.

Why wouldn't the report something important about a popular MMO? This is an MMO site. Just because more exciting things happen in EVE over the course of a week than any other MMO doesn't mean they shouldn't report the info.

Exciting?

I could even spot you the "popular", though really that's a bad joke, but... Exciting?

tl;dr "I play World of Failcraft. Nothing interesting ever happens but you must write about it daily."

They write so much about EVE because there is always something new to talk about. What else more can they possibly say about WoW at this point?

Yet, they still have a ENTIRE site dedicated to WoW... and they even syndicate some of the the articles here as well.. and yet people complain about occasional EVE article? WTF.

If all the whiners would be so good and have a look backwards - This (http://www.massively.com/2009/08/31/eve-online-announces-dominion-expansion-walking-in-stations-r/) was the last EVE related article, published two days ago .. guess how many other articles there's in between?

30.

Yeah, this site is just writing about EVE....

Why does everyone immediately assume, often without evidence, that every single negative comment on every single talkback is from a WoW fanboi? Is it not possible for someone to have a negative opinion about an MMO and not play WoW?

Anyway, on topic: really looking forward to this tournament! There's nothing else like it at the moment.

@Archipelagos: not every single one, that's to be sure, but take a look at the profiles of the two people dissing this article. One of them does nothing but complain about EvE coverage, which I find rather amuzing; as for the other, it has a single complaint (happens to be in this thread) and comments on wow related articles, which is not so amuzing.

As far as coverage go, I don't mind reading about any game, as long as the article present something fresh, relevant or funny and, let's face it, sandbox games are often more dynamic than the so called "theme park" ones - thus, producing more content.

As for this article, topic, I'm wondering how this tournament is going to play out; the restriction of fielding no more than a couple ships of each kind is surely going to kill some concepts, such as the 10 thorax fleet. ;/
