I agree and concur with most of your observations. I also play Destruction on Iron Rock after all (SH - Gurgokgul / Choppa - Gogarung). You'll generally find me complaining in SC's that nobody is attacking the other teams healers. :)

As for the Influence gear in the tiers -- it does need some tweaking. A larger, more diverse selection of gear models could help this a great deal, but here's my thought.

Seems to me that they could have an overall, or encompassing tier influence category, which would include all three factions from each realm respectively. Doing oRvR in any of the zones for your tier (and even the scenarios, perhaps to a lesser extent) would contribute to this influence pool and lead to specific rewards.

Then, for each faction (i.e., Greenskins, Dark Elves and Chaos for Destro), they could have yet another pool of influence that builds from doing oRvR in those specific zones and would have it's own set of gear rewards. This might even help in the gear model diversity as you could tailor gear to be very similar stat wise (though not identical), at the same time giving them unique appearances according to faction. Greenskin gear looking somewhat primitive, if not very effective, etc.

Would make more sense to me anyway.

Great stuff! Thanks for sharing your experiences with everyone. :)

I can agree with much of that. Personally, I found the T1 RvR influence grind manageable but it just gets exponentially tougher with each new tier.

If someone purely RvRs from rank 12-21 they should be at max RvR influence, no ifs, ands, or buts.

I can understand making the T4 grind a bit longer because you're always going to be RvRing in those zones once you reach max level, but I even find the T4 grind far too much.

You inspired me to give WAR another try.

The game still feels like it's in beta. In fact I did Stonetroll Crossing and as I was running towards the flag, destro caps it on the other side of the map. I remember that bug from beta... Not to mention the scenario itself is terribly designed and it's not the only one.

And despite all (?) the ORvR changes (although they aren't very apparent just by playing), the vast majority of the server pop seems to still be perpetually in scenarios.

It's remarkable to me that Mythic doesn't seem to understand that Scenarios killed the rest of the game's content. At least in tiers 1-3.

Anyway, free trial for returning players is ftw. I will be canceling again promptly on day 9.
