As for that:

That the rumors of the game being sharded are false. That ability to play on one server with your friends is one of the most revolutionary design implementations in Guild Wars 1, and we don't want to lose that.

=> As far as I can remember, they said fairly early on that the game will be sharded (this is where the enemies in "The Mist" come from). However, they also said that you will be able to change freely (supposedly also _for free_) between the shards. I'm sorry that I can't remember the source, but this was one of the first things I read, so it must have been in the interviews surrounding the announcement of GW2. Of course things could have changed since then, but it does make sense to have shards, since a persistent world would simply be too crowded if 1 million+ players played on it.

I find this to be the most exciting mmo in the makings alongside SW:TOR from what I've seen.

(starting to loose some interrest in Jumpgate/Black Prophecy)

High hopes, and I'm glad they don't have flying mounts!

Well this sure looks like the next mmog that ill be getting! I have one quesiton though, dont know if it has been answered yet, but the town system where players are only together in town and in the world its just the party and environment, is that being changed in GW 2, have a more "open" world?

No click to move? Are they serious? I'm damn well not gonna be playing anything that commands me to use one hand just for movement at all times. Quests replaced with an event system, like the uber-failure WAR? Whew, the stink is a-rising! And whats this about GW1 not being sharded? Umm, there are a number of seperate servers..wth are you taking about, Mr. Schuster?
