Edge case of some overly simplistic testing? So why did Xan Linden concede in the blog comments:

"Hi folks - As many have pointed out, traffic has been 1 point per avatar minute; but adjustments were made in some cases, and those adjustments were legacy"

Because in those edge-cases it *is* 1:1:1 (well, nearly). We went back and forth with the Lab about this until they were pretty sick of us, and had someone read through the code for us just to make us go away and stop asking how it worked.

Of course, if the description we were given is entirely accurate of what the code was *supposed* to do, then the code wasn't doing what it was supposed to do. But it was demonstrably not 1:1:1 either. Careful testing with 8-10 parcels could disprove that easily enough.

The so-called edge-case is that someone spends the whole day on < about 5 parcels. The common-case is that they move around a bit more than that.
