My laptop is way below even the minimum specs (Especially in the video card department) but the open beta runs fine on low/medium graphic settings.

I was worried too, but I am glad I can play it. Good Luck!

Save some money and just buy some comics instead. CO is shaping up to be a flop.

I'm having a blast in beta. Especially the travel powers are impressive. After rocket jumping your way through the desert, you'll never want to jump into a 3 sec cast mount ever again.

Give the game a good try, if it don't float your boat, get Aion. But stop trying to diminish a legitimately well-made game because you don't like it. You know when something is made with love and this game is, period.

Then again it might not be your cup of tea, but that's another matter.

@sueco: I'm not one for the input lag, though, which there seems to be a lot of. I've noticed it's not on my machine because I can disconnect my ethernet from the computer and have my character completely stop while I try to move him meaning it's more of a computational load on the servers. But past that point, I really like the game, it's just a hard hurdle for me to jump over if I am going to get this game.
