Anarchy Online... definitely. It looks far older than it actually is in terms of gameplay -- it looked a little too old when it came out, to be honest. It's like a spry 75 year old who looks 90. Give that old broad a facelift and send her to the county fair, says I.

LOL, that's Comment of the Day material right there. :)

And I agree.. AO would be a great choice.

The 4th Coming.

Too bad Viacom stopped development ages ago and left the game to the various individual servers. I don't think any of the servers have the funds to do a major overhaul for the graphics.

Completely agreed. Higher detail character models in particular would be nice.

agreed - anarchy online. fine game, graphics actually aren't THAT bad - it's the interface that needs mods. If I could take the intuitive WoW interface and drop it over the AO - that would be wonderful.

I'd also vote for Anachy Online. I wasn't the first MMO I played, but it was the one I liked and played the most. It does need a face lift, along with some UI redesign, but it still has a lot to offer.

Anarchy Online most definitely. One of the most fun and unique MMOs out there if you can get past the graphics.

Actually, Funcom is working on a graphical update and a re-release of Anarchy Online. They are going to use the same engine that the Secret Worlds is using.

I would like to see a graphical update to WoW.

Agreed, AO did so many things right, but just got painful to look at (compared to all the new stuff that was taking the lime-light).

There are (was?) a few Youtube videos of a work-in-progress graphics update for AO...but that was some time ago. I wonder if they are still focusing on that...or everyone at Funcom is re-assigned to Age of Conan...

Out of morbid curiosity, I just went to AO.com and went looking for the "In Development" link they USED to have....it's gone.

Big surprise. :(

FFXI, hands down. Game looks solid as-is, but would be amazing with a graphical overhaul.

This is a good one too. I think the style is strong, but an overhaul would be welcome. Better textures, better backgrounds, in-game anti-aliasing options... could use a lot.

With FF14 on the way I don't see it happening, but it would be neat.

Also, nice name Bort. Makes me think of Itchy and Scratchy Land!

Anarchy Online, joined for the anniversary and was shocked, without the pink glasses of past memories, the evidence are obvious, some new shoulderpads have more polygons than the character faces.

it is a game that desperately needs a graphical update.
