It's that time of year again. That time when all the upcoming MMO sites transition from their spring-summer duds into their fall-winter looks. For All Points Bulletin, that means a sleek new website that has us slobbering onto our keyboards. It's really hard to type with this mess, so we'll keep it short and sweet.
Beta sign-ups, they're open!
We're sure you probably stopped reading right after "beta sign-ups" so we're going to end it here, just as we promised. Although, not before we feed the birds with you.

Perhaps one of the oddest beta sign-ups I've ever seen. At times it felt like I was doing a survey, rather than applying for the role of a tester.
Income level?
Number of Children?
Married?
Is this really needed for those testing a game, APB?

Probably not needed, but they'll gather infos about people interested in APB, and then probably be able to make better marketing plans ! :)

"please enter a valid answer" , the hell...?
I cant get the "why do you want to beta test" question to go through :S , and im just answering
"I love shooters, and racing games, and the customization options look amazing. Hell, I'd be happy with just beta testing the character creator"

I can't get their submission form to work. And it just lost everything I entered. :|

I agree, VERY odd Beta application. Really felt intrusive. Felt more like a marketing survey than a Beta application.
And drives me nuts every time I see one of these without video card RAM for 768MB. Seriously, did they forget about an entire generation of video cards there?
And the DXDiag.txt for this one, has to have your first.lastname, yet, the box above doesn't tell you that. There's a fail.

baaad new website. copytext running over 800px wide? bad to read for long text. 1700px wide bg graphic? huh, ever heard of a resolution called 1920x1200? baaad, two fails before I even GET to the beta-application and the badly designed form. wow, spending millions of dollars on development and marketing of a game and hiring donkeys for webdesign – not a good idea.

I bailed when I saw the questions. There're plenty of great MMOs out there without me giving over enough personal information that they could apply for a credit card in my name! :)

The problem with the form appears to be that you cannot use any kind of punctuation at the end of your submission in the "Why you want to be a beta tester for APB" input box.
So simply avoid using ,./;'#][-=!"£$%^&*() etcetc at the end of your 250 application begging letter! =)
