Quite beautiful. A shame that it's not an actual open world. Removes the "MM" and leaves it just a ORPG.

I assure you it's quite Massive.... run from Ascalon City (post-searing) to Lions Arch sometime. :P

As far as Multiplayer, the difference with GW is there's a ton of players, but the game gives you the ability to interact as much or as little with the other players as you wish. You can always find someone LFG in various mission outposts and I've seen more than my fair share of invites running missions.

I'm always astounded at the scenery shots of Guild Wars, every time I see one on Massively I'm like what game is this from? And feel ridiculous when I realize it's GW XD

GW is a beautiful and fun game. Even the crystal desert, after all these years, looks better than much more recent additions to WoW, imo.

If I could have changed any two aspects of GW, it would have been:

(1) Decrease the maximum party size to 4 or 5 (8 is just too many)
(2) Allow players to switch (in outposts) between "open" (persistent, no heroes or henches) or "closed" (instanced, heroes/henches) modes, with the regions then scaled appropriately depending on the mode chosen

Those two changes would have, imo, made GW just about perfect.

I'm a big GW fan also, but particularly of the soundtrack.
Jeremy Soule is kind of like the 'John Williams of games'.. =)

Oh - I definitely think JK is extremely talented, and whilst he hasn't been awarded nearly as many times has he's been nominated, the accolades are well deserved nonetheless.
For me, however, he's not in the same league as my aforementioned gentlemen; by any stretch.

Each to their own though, of course.
