Massively's Aion closed beta key giveaway

We're back with another closed beta key giveaway for NCsoft's Aion, and this time it's for more than just one weekend. We have 500 keys to give away for this sixth closed beta test weekend, plus the open beta testing throughout September.

Simply follow this link for our giveaway page, grab a key and follow the directions listed after the jump. Once you've downloaded the client and you're in, you'll be able to play the entire weekend, from Noon PT on Friday, August 14, 2009 to Noon PT on Monday, August 17, 2009. This weekend will open the beta up to level 30 for both factions, including content from the Abyss and special in-game events. Follow along after the jump for complete instructions from NCsoft.

STEP 1: CREATE AN NCSOFT MASTER ACCOUNT

If you do not have an NCsoft account yet, go to the Create NCsoft Account page and follow the instructions:

STEP 2: CREATE AN AION ACCOUNT

Once you create an NCsoft Master Account, or if you already have an account created, please following these steps to create your Aion account:

1. Visit https://secure.ncsoft.com/cgi-bin/accountManagement.pl and log into your existing NCsoft Master Account.

2. Once logged in, click on the "USE A SERIAL CODE" link.

3. Enter your 20-digit Aion serial code.

4. Follow the remaining on-screen instructions to create your game account.


STEP 3: DOWNLOAD AND RUN THE INSTALLER

You can download the entire client from FilePlanet here:

Or , download and run the Aion installer (355KB) straight from NCsoft, located here:

http://aion.patcher.ncsoft.com/liteinstaller/Aion.exe

When you run the installer, the Aion Downloader will begin downloading in the background. If you restart the Aion Downloader, the download will continue where it left off.

You may need as much as 15GB of free disk space to download and install Aion.
