GW2 is still being worked on. Of course no timeline has been set yet.

I'm glad Arenanet's dartboard is still seeing some use.

Guild Wars has my vote for Best Online Game Ever. Period. Hands down. No contest. No one else even comes close.

But this update is ... seriously ... underwhelming.

Unless they are going to do something worthwhile with GW (like allowing the use of 7 heroes), I just can't see going back to that game -- and certainly not for minimalist tweak updates like this.

just so you know, they're working on another big update that will inclute actual content. The skill updates are being done while the live team (about 5 people and a few programmers still working on Guild Wars) works on the actual content update.

around september, there was the fourth anniversarry update, which introduced a whole bunch of new content. check that out.

Shouldn't the fixes listed here have been done, uh, earlier?

They seem like balance items that should have been performed when the classes were introduced

They were, GaaaaaaH. But they were done too well, making the classes overpowered, then they got nerfed, then they got buffed, but were too OP'ed again, and got nerfed... well, you know. :P

The update also had a focus on pets, which was not mentioned at all, see "Ranger Pets in PvE".

I also love Guild Wars, but the game has a problem: It has no real endgame besides the grind-tastic title grind. They wanted to sell new chapters/content roughly every half a year, and now we are waiting for Guild Wars 2 till god knows when. I fear the game is going heavily the F2P but microtransactions route.

This said, if you do not play GW regularly anymore, the constant changes are not really "casual" friendly. You come back and TONS of skills changed, while nothing else or not much has been added to the game.

Less skills and better balance right from the start are needed in GW2.
At first they did not address problems for ages, and now they start fiddling around with everything and are totally reworking skills.

Seems as if GW1 has become the playground for their junior designers, which is not a bad thing, but hey, I need some content... especially if you want me to play this game now and then till 2010+...!

Endgame was supposed to be PvP, that's why PvP was so good and there weren't any monthly fees.
