Klondike ain't got nothing on BlizzCon tickets when they're selling out faster than fiber optic internet on steroids. We're pretty sure there are thousands of people who would commit all kinds of unspeakable acts in order to acquire one. Maybe next year they're hold a Running Man style competition, or they could just hold a random lottery. Fans would probably do whatever Blizzard asked them, just to get the tiniest of peeks at their next big thing.
Surely though, people must be expecting some serious info to drop if the tickets sold out that quickly. Obviously there's a slim chance Blizzard's next MMO could be announced this year. There's also a chance we'll just hear more about already announced titles, but what else is there to know about StarCraft II at this point? No, we're holding out hope for MMO 2, because what's life without a little dangerous hoping?

I think most people are expecting WoW Expansion news, Diablo 3 class reveals, StarCraft 2 single player footer and Battle.net 2.0 news.
Seems like a lot to me.

BlizzCon is the event of the year even when there is no news you got a change to meet other WoW/Diablo/StarCraft players!
In other news SOE still trying to get rid of the Everquest tickets :D

Bilbo hit the nail on the head as that is pretty much what I am expecting. Most excited to see more Diablo 3 classes and more SC2 singleplayer footage

I'm GOING!!!!!!!!!!!! And if Ozzy is there I am going to freak-the-fuck-out.
This will be my 3rd Blizzcon, half the fun is the ride out, the after-parties, etc. The Con is just icing on the cake. 3 nights of booze, food and MMO geeks = win.

This will be the first one my wife and I missed...just can't justify blowing 3k on a weekend in this economy.
We will be doing the direct TV thing instead...and sighing a lot.:(

I hear ya, I downgraded my hotel room for something half the cost of the original one. Also, we're packing a lot of food and drinks too. And I'm not going to go nuts on merchandise either. I spent $3k on my first Blizzcon back in 2005. I don't expect to spend more then $1.5 on this one. This is my vacation, with this economy and some struggles at home I need to blow off some steam.

"Some" of you guys wanted to be anywhere where the event takes place. But fact is you're whole economic lifestyle isn't the same as the way before.
Why not save for while and let Blizzcon pass. I think its not the end of the world if you can't attend Blizzcon would you?
One, its not free, accomodations are not free either so just save your money. And I'm sure that whatever Blizzard announces in their Blizzcon. I'm sure you're just going to buy / spend money on it anyway. And you're still going to be feed with news in the internet. Huh? Why is it so much a BIG deal for some people? Where a grownup dide would go there and your friends would be there, of course all the people from Blizzard would say, "wow you guys are cool!" LOL

Well, you can have fun while playing WoW while not going to Blizzcon. Instead of doubling your expenses just to serve the word "fun" in your own terms. I'm fun when I'm spending quality time with my family. :)
