In five years the United States will have just as restrictive internet usage as China. Anyone who doesn't believe this needs to actually read some of the legislation Obama supports

"The inclusion of broadband access in the universal service obligation will not only fail to achieve extension of broadband access, but will also fall short of the extension that would otherwise be attained under free market conditions."

I don't care about people living out in the middle of nowhere or people that can't afford it not having broadband access. What I care about is having some actual competition in the market, so when Company X gives crappy customer service or charges too much money I can switch to Company Y. As it stands almost every location only has one choice of provider.

Ugh, I hear you. I'm stuck with the crappiest internet provider ever because we have no choices. It's so aggravating!
