The screens just keep on rolling out from Champions Online, and they keep getting more impressive, too. The image above is the perfect example of the pretty pretty pictures the people at Cryptic have become capable of taking. Although we recommend checking out the others, as there are many images of hero types never before shown.
To be honest, we're sort of jealous, because lately our screens have been of hairy luchadors instead of an assault rifle toting, back-flipping upside down heroine.
However, we can take solace in the knowledge that in a mere month we'll have every waking hour to snap screens. Maybe then our dream of time-traveling cyborg knights battling underwater fish people wallpaper can finally come true. That, or we'll see a bunch of DC and Marvel comics ripoffs roaming the world.

Did this site have a name change to Massively Champions Online??? I must have missed it. Tons of daily lame posts about just one new MMO is ridiculous. I gotta admit that I was excited at one time about this game too but Massively is going overboard shoveling all the CO crap down our throats. At least post something interesting and not be so obvious of the fact that you are being somehow compensated by Cryptic.

While I did not appreciate Colin's, err, , two-sided debate on microtransactions nor Kyle's proud father comment on how well written the article was, I do understand that CO is nearing launch so I do expect to see more and more of it.
Personally, I want all the info I can get so I can build as complete a picture of the game before making my final decision(mostly whether to get the lifetime sub or not but I am buying the game regardless).

The game is due to launch rather soon. The company has been pushing out new information (power sets, etc). It seems pretty obvious that one or two of the folks at Massively are keen on the game.
The doesn't mean that they're being compensated.
Crimecraft, Champions, Aion, DDO:EU, Aion. They're all due to launch soon. The reporting on them has increased. What else would you expect?
Oh, and Crimecraft is due to launch soonest but there hasn't been that much reportage on that game largely, I think, due to not many people caring one whit for it.
Stop looking for conspiracies where they don't exist.

You could always not read the 2 CO posts on the front page, also while your at it, don't read the 2 Aion posts on the front page and ignore the 1 CO ad along with the 1 EVE ad...
Seriously, the game is coming out soon and there is more and more details released about it the closer it gets to retail. The writers are excited about it, alot of the readers are excited about it, if your not, don't read the articles on it. I certainly don't read articles about things i don't enjoy..

So the big CO ad at the top right of this page is not considered compensation then? I also want more info on this game but I want unbiased relevant 2 sided info. I used to think Massively could provide such info.

I don't see anything wrong with the level of coverage. CO is one of the bigger stories out there so it makes sense to give it a lot of attention, especially when it's so close to release. Keep up the good work, Massively.

FYI Check the CO official forums and you can find a link that will take you to free beta keys. Just got mine a few minutes ago.

Shouldn't that be a NDA break?
Anyway each MMORPG depending on genre, theme, artistic direction and other variables is a special case on each own, I assume a MMORPG based on superheroes should be quite a bit about crazy customisable outfits and flashy moves.
