One Shots: The abyss stares back at you

Sometimes screenshots aren't amazingly breathtaking so much for what they are, as they for what they get us to thinking about. Such is the case with today's One Shots from Aion that was sent in to us by our fellow MMO blogger, Paragus. He explains the image: Flying into the Abyss portal for the first time to me was also the crossing the finish line of some marathon grinding sessions to get access. Hopefully what lies beyond this portal will live up to the expectations of Aion fans for what will hopefully be a fun RvR experience. Suppose we'll have to see how people like Aion's RVR.

The ability to simply laugh at the absurd is needed with this game. With 3 day bouts of beta, 3 friends playing, and the point of this beta being "testing" (a joke unto itself) 1-30 i asked slavering friends...."i said friend, what is the point in trying to grind 15 levels in 3 days to test level 30?" After no answers from the now intently playing lost soul i once knew, i had to say, it aint gonna happen, his wife will divorce him before he does those 15 or 20 plus levels this weekend(cant remember it was that interesting)

What exactly is the point of people just joining, or playing like they have a life and not being able to progress like rabbits in these 3 day beta bullshit sessions?

A game already out for nearly a year and ignorant devs (ya, there is that word) and some ignorant female with no clue as to what "real folks" do on this planet. Here is a clue, why not have the avatars at the level required for the test session? No, that would make to much sense, instead the ignorant powers that be figure the slice of humanity they are targeting will give them all the answers they need........and what a recipe for failure they will have.

I am sure the warm and fuzzy answer will be all the beta testers with pre-orders will get to keep all the frantic grinding they did as a reward...................(chuckle)

Ignorant is as ignorant does, with the sessions i witnessed these idiots are betting on the hardcore grinding crowd to provide them with info and feedback, and i am sure it will be the best quality ignorance can buy. My friends are lost to me, dismissing me as to harsh, we will see.

I agree with the most of what you wrote, but the goal of the western CBT is hype/marketing and probably testing all the datacenter hardware setup.

What's even more stupid is that we test 1.0 while the game gonna be launched with 1.5.

I get to lvl20 this week and fuck it, not gonna play anymore till it's released.
