Ok, first off, to all the people complaining about people complaining about MT... Oxymoron much? Most of the people against MTs have brought up many valid points, they're not just bitching. On the contrary the people trying to bash them for having an intelligent opinion, really have no reasonable explanation for even posting. Personal slander doesn't particularly show how bright or informed you are.

Yet, since the bashing has begun, lets be frank about this...Were you dropped on your head as a child or something? You make it seem as though it's a good thing that Cryptic is going to make you pay for something that should be FREE with patches. Many people aren't just concerned with MTs, they're concerned with what that could imply for the future of the game itself.

Lastly, selling items for character customization in a game where customization has been one of the big selling points is bad enough. Though that's not the whole issue, MTs will also be for items with ingame effects. Yes... you came earn them in game as well, but do you not honestly see a problem with that. So in essence, there could be two ways to get some of the best powers in the game. You could lvl your character to cap, raid, and pvp/pve grind; OR... just buy em. So playing in itself kinda loses incentive don't you think? I can't see how anyone with a funtioning brain wouldn't be firmly against MT. Maybe we are just wasting our time, but at least we have the scruples to stand against something we feel is wrong; and actually non-violent protest (lol) CAN sometimes change things. If Cryptic feels that they might lose more money by losing players, than they could make by implimenting MTs they might reconsider.

Oh and just so you know...I'm not a kid (29 actually, ty very much), I have a job, I've seen more vag than a gynocologist, and I'de rather spend $20 on some good SoCal herb than on something I SHOULD BE GETTING WITH THE PRICE OF MY SUBSCRIPTION! So insults will get you nowhere

OK I am going to reply again to this matter. First of all people are people and no one will EVER be happy... ever... it is how things go.

I feel that because I pay my TAX I should have a policeman near my house all the time non stop... and that cameras should protect me not be used when I make a wrong turn only, I pay my TAC why isn't the road near my house free of potholes?... Same goes for my TV license... I fell that since I already pay a SKY or Virgin subscription of £40 a month... why the hell should I also pay £150 a year to the BBC for TV license?? I don't even watch f*****g BBC.

I buy a ne car and pay £24k for it... I should get free service and petrol for life? shouldn't I? after all I pai road tax, MOT, insurance...

so FFS, stop this crap people... if vanity items is what MTs give you, or if MTs simply allow you to pay $20 for an item it take average Joe 10 hours or whatever... who cares? Obviously plenty of people... but if it doesn't affect me, if the guy doesn't buy a 1 hit kill laser beam power, or super stats potion, or whatever... seriously who cares... I can't even be bothered to mention Blizzard and how they milk their subscribers... remember you had to pay for every expansion but you didn't have to pay for COH/COV expansions. OK you had to pay for COV but it was free with COH after a while... now I wonder if you buy WOW... would you get TBC and WOTLK with it??? no... not really... you gotta pay Blizzard for the game and each expansion.

Some people have no idea what it costs to run a mmo, to be creative and add new stuff. The cost of staff and so forth...

And please do remember IT IS THEIR BLOODY GAME..... they can do whatever the hell they want with it, you are not forced to play it or pay for it... IT IS NOT YOUR GAME... you put no effort into it, I would hardly think it is fair for you to tell them what you think you deserve to get or not. At least they tell you what you get charged for, unlike other companies or the government.

I am sure they have everything planned out and balanced.

Anyhow that’s my 2 cents.

I left a comment earlier see page 6 if you will. And because of the backlash my comment got i just wanted to take the time to clarify some things first. This whole "controversy" is ridiculous and pathetic. I ask these questions of everyone not just the people who are blowing it out of proportion. Have you played the full game yet? Do you know exactly how the the team is implementing the MTs? Do you know about any of the things offered in the shop? No, you dont. Furthermore without that information you are wholly unqualified to make any judgment on the game's scope, quality and appropriate pricing. Here's a little tip: Complaining about these things with no firsthand experience doesnt make you a gaming activist. It makes you a whiney, entitled brat. I'd also like to give a fact i recently read in a Game Informer issue. WoW dominates the mmo market by a whopping estimate averaged over 60%!!!! Cryptic is trying to seperate the game from the pack and maybe they arent doing it in an appropriate manner. But like i said earlier with out any first hand knowledge Noone can make any judgments regarding the game!!!!! Also cryptic just announced the pricing structure for the subscription fees and at $10 which is $5 cheaper than most other mmo's!!! Also just because you may be a little older and have a job doesnt mean that you have more brain power to make a informed decision! Play the game first on a free trial then make a decision; that is what educated smart people do! Only children get impatient and start bitching about something that hasnt even come out yet. And if people want to cancle their preorders and miss out something that may otherwise be a great gaming experience go right ahead because i doubt those of us who are going to give it a chance want to play with people who express themselves in such a negative way.
