Will the people who buy the game on Steam be able to actually *play* it? I've heard GameGuard makes a fuss about Steam being on, and I don't know if you can run games purchased on Steam if you turn Steam off...

The beta client ran normally even with Steam on. I had absolutely no problem with it.

To be on topic, that doesn't much in Europe where it costs 60 flippin' euros for the collectors edition (50 for normal). I bought the normal version for about 30 pounds (35 euros) off Direct2Drive and I am very satisfied.
