I'm torn about JGE....I suspect it will either be an amazing MMO, or a week of fun before we all forget about it. If done right, it could dominate all, or it could just become another bad shooter.

When MMO release dates go from "now" to "unknown" I start to get doubts if the game will ever see the light of day at all.

But regardless, NetDevil should calm down on the hype and save it for when they do release. They are going to spoil the game too much and by the time it releases it won't be new and exciting.

I want the game to launch just as much as anybody, but I'd bet that some of the people complaining about the delays are the same people who complain about every other MMO launching broken. JGE might actually be the first MMO to launch... not broken, with the exception of some good launches like LOTRO.

That said, let's go already, NetDevil.

I hate it when people call an mmo for being "broken"...

MMO's are in constant development, and its only a matter of personal taste that makes some people say the game ready, or finished (which it never really is), or even fixed.

Every mmo has its bugs, but its not broken because of that. Windows, Firefox, OS X etc etc are being shown to have bugs all the time as well. But if you want to call them all broken or unfinished because of that, then windows or apple has never actually completed anything.

Just stop using the word broken on everything.

Rather say the state of the games are not ready for launch.

You're kinda just arguing semantics and it's pointless, but I guess sorry for using the word "broken". But it's not like I used "fail" or some overused bullshit like that.

My point was that there's clearly been a lot of bad (or rough? are you ok with these words?) launches in the past and a lot of people say something along the lines of "they should have worked on it for another 6 months". Well here's a group of developers that are doing that and hopefully JGE is better for it.
