Just when you thought the City of Heroes character creation process wasn't involved enough, we get word that the power customization in the upcoming Issue 16 will definitely include the ability to change the color of your powers at creation. We had previously heard that this may be the case, but a new Issue 16 overview on the CoH website confirms it.
This recent news also includes much more information on enhanced difficulty settings and the proliferation of powersets among all Archetypes, allowing more types of players to possess more powersets. Check out the entire overview of Issue 16: Power Spectrum for more information.

Wow they are just getting desperate now. Copying cryptic's ideas.
And yes I know cryptic originally created the game but they are not running it now Paragon studios are.

Actually, power customization is something that Paragon Studios and Cryptic were both trying to do for the game since back before City of Villains launched, when both studios were together.
The issue was the way the powers were coded, and a complete rewrite of the powers coding was necessary for it to even be possible, so I'd imagine this was being worked out way before Champions came about with their hue shifter, or probably even before Cryptic Studios departed from Paragon Studios.

People had been requesting this for a while but the devs told us that the power colors were "baked in" to the code so customizations were very challenging to do. I don't think it's a coincidence that once NC Soft took over and Emmert left players started getting a lot of their requested features. Jack had a lot of weird hangups like not wanting players to be able to see the numbers behind the powers and things like that. If they're delivering the customizations now, it's not because they started working on it last week....

When NCSoft bought the whole thing from Cryptic, they decided to invest a ton of money into the game. So suddenly things that were thought impossible before were suddenly on the table again. All they had to do was hire a lot more staff and they could finally get some of these long requested features in the game.
I'm really excited about the state of CoH right now. With the improvements they've made to the game lately and the promise of upcoming stuff like Going Rogue, it's a great time to be playing the game.

Wow. Guess you haven't seen the futanari running around all over Virtue pretty much since issue one?
What an incredibly stupid thing to say.
