Warhammer Online fans have gone through some troubled times recently but now they've also got some goods news to be happy about in Jess Skalski's first-ever producer's letter for the game.
A large portion of the letter devotes time to the upcoming -- as in this month, supposedly -- 1.3.0b patch. While it may only be a letter patch and not 1.4, there are a decent amount of changes along with a few big ones. For instance, with 1.3.0b the root, kockback and pull immunities are being rolled into one big "Movement Immunity" effect. This change is aimed at creating more tactical choices in combat and should stop players from being pulled, rooted and hammered on in post-patch battles.
Another large alteration comes in the form of a new renown purchase ability. Specifically, rank 40 players will be able to purchase a "CC Immunity" ability aimed at stopping complaints of people getting cc'd immediately in the beginning of a fight. There are a whole lot more changes than those two, so check out the whole letter for all the beefy details.

Is it just me, or are all the articles about Warhammer on this site negative? Not defending Warhammer, but I am sensing a little bit of bias against the game. Try not to be so obvious in your reporting guys.

I don't think the articles themselves are biased, but there are a lot of unhappy players that comment on them (for good reason)...I think that may be skewing your view.

I don't think the site is biased at all, in fact this article clearly says in the first paragraph that the new producer letter is something to be happy about.
I just think the bad image WAR has created on itself, is making even the good news hard to swallow.

I don't think they are negative about WAR, but there hasn't been much positive to say about it recently, and I say that as someone who still plays.
The forthcoming patch does look good though. If these changes had come earlier, instead of Land of the Dead, there might not be so many people quitting after realizing what a terrible job Mythic did at RvR.

There's also the fact that many people (for some weird reason MMO players are in a high ratio for this) will just never be satisfied no matter what you do as a developer.
You could give the players exactly when they want, and they'll turn around and say how stupid it is... It's funny really, but a shame when so much money is put into these games.

@ Hardy
Its not really a wierd reason. In order to please some mmo gamers you end up stepping on the toes of others. Since mmo gamers play online they ALL have access to the internet and can freely complain about it when they want to.
Take this news for example, heavily focused on CC immunity, Great if youre a melee class sick of being locked down and slaughtered but the pendulum is probably going to swing right in the opposite direction now. All the ranged classes which were designed to be weak up close will now suddenly find those CC abilities they were given to defend against melee are mostly none effective....so instead of one group of players being unhappy they just made another group unhappy.
