I think Guild Wars needs a little boost in the form of a new free expansion like they did with the first game. The game is a little dead these days, compared to the first two years. I don't think that an event like this is going to change that.

It's a great game, but not many people play it anymore. To me it feels empty and events are not making me come back to the game.

Well, that is just weird.

If it was a full-scale Wintersday event I'd wonder if they were doing something shiny & new in December, but since it sounds to be only a partial 2 day implementation I expect it's just a novelty.

As big of a Guild Wars fan as I am (and I think it is my most played game of all tiem by some margin), I'm in the unplaying demographic that Wootson mentioned nowadays - I certainly geeked out for the recent Ritualist overhaul, but even that didn't translate into more game time as I've simply seen & done everything (including having my fill of Wintersdays).

Actually we don't get to have Christmas at all in the States these days. It is apparently too exclusive. We have Mid-Winter Non-Denominational Holiday in July!

Guild Wars is pretty stale atm. Last expansion was released in 2007. All events are just same old same old that we saw last year. When i quit GW, I went ingame just for the events, but not anymore.

I cant wait for GW2 but it would be super awesome to have more content for GW1.
