SWG is now actually a decent game again after the NGE destroyed it. These devs have worked hard at mitigating the damage done. I find it the MMO with the most variety of game systems out there (advanced crafting, offline harvesting and vendors, real time space combat, housing and decorating, built in card game, some of the best RP gaming features anywhere, and all the other combat aspects of an MMO). The new battle ground systems should kick it up even further. I am still hoping SWG will become the game it could have been before it was derailed. I think all the attention Old Republic gets could actually help SWG some in the long run. Time will tell.

Doubtful. It's still the game shown to most of the MMO industry of what NOT to do. When SWTOR comes out I'll put money on it that SWG is shut down due to lack of subscriptions

Wait, so these battlegrounds aren't instanced, you have to go right up inside them to play? That's weird.

Problem is I've tried it and there are never enough players to wage really good battles. Either not enough Imperials or not enough Rebels on. You queue up and wait and wait and finally are lucky to get a 4 on 4. They should have made the queue system diffrent, added NPC's or let players join battle. It was great first week or two but now nobody is in them.
