I think thats a good idea to get players to explore and crawl over your maps and check stuff. I wish they did stuff like this in live games more.

I get the idea of luring people to you game for testing. But at the same time, it sort of smacks with desperation. I might just be reading into it, but from a bit of investigation, I have found a number of beta reviewers who have a number of negative points about the game.

It sounds that Fallen Earth is just not refined in the gameplay aspects. Like rotten ranged targeted and lousy AI issues. So it needs some help before they release. Maybe this contest will get them more of that?

My take, Fallen Earth is only a fraction ready for launch than Conan was. Since Fallen Earth is still in beta, they have the opportunity to fix these issues. However, it seems odd that they are doing such a big beta and stress test (practically open beta with Fileplanet keys) if they are not planning on launching very soon.

FE has its ups and downs. Those ups and downs vary somewhat from player to player, so I encourage anyone semi-interested to play the game at their earliest opportunity and provide their feedback if they can.

Having been in beta for ... a very long time now, the sense that the developers are about to release the game soon regardless of many beta-testers' dissatisfactions is getting stronger every week. I've been beginning to consider the possibility that the developers aren't willing to (or can't) make some of the bigger changes many players desire and will release the game risking the subscriptions of many players.

That said, FE has elements that are rock-solid for gamers not as concerned with the elements that FE lacks. Because of that, it should at least make a profitable crowd of players very happy.

A lot of the negative comments I see about FE wreak of hate and agenda. I'm not sure what people like Conquests get out of flaming a game without any constructive feedback or objective concessions, but I hope they get whatever it is they seek.

I have been in beta for many weeks now and without breaking the NDA I can say it has many strong points, its biggest downsides is, its a beta still.

IMHO, it is about the freshest MMO on the block atm. It doesnt bring anything I feel new to the table other than a strong genre change and some of the strongest features of current MMOs, but I feel it has potential to compete against Eve, Lotr and the other mid stream MMO's, if the Devs and Investors play their cards right and polish it up and continue to add features it may even be a contender to WoW itself.

Its a different genre and has a mature audience. I dont think its a WoW killer because its not geared towards the younger audience and therefore will not be able to grab up the large army of children subscribers, but I feel that alot of mature content looking players looking for a change from a fantasy MMO are going to be quite happy with this game and make it a keeper for a long time.

And for those who still cant drop their love for swords Fallen Earth makes those available too.

And trust me they are not desperate for testing. I have tons a friends still waiting to get into the beta as well. Fallen Earth has by far been my most fun and willing interactive beta I have been involved with.

I'm Just hoping what was said above is not true and they continue to polish and add to this game prior to launch. This game has EPIC potential on the level of FF7 and you real gamers out there will understand when I say FF7 EPIC potential.

If you're concerned about FE's NDA, you should read it again because you just broke it. Informing others that you're in beta is a violation. Obviously I've broken in numerous times; I simply don't care to be all "top secret" anymore.
