Although I'm not into space games in general, I'm still looking forward to this game. It seems that it will be a more fun game to play than EVE Online. I tried the trial of EVE three times, but I just couldn't set my mind to it. When I travel space I want to be the pilot myself, and not to have some CPU to control my movements. In EVE I felt more like a viewer who clicked everything once in a while. Plus the interface was so mind-boggling.

It felt like really being into space, but I also felt like being at work rather than playing a game. It was way too complex with all the windows and thingies everywhere.

Jumpgate Evolution seems to be a very good compromise of it all.

Lets hope it get released. I don't know how they go from a release date of, well, pretty much now, to "unknown" if the game isn't in bad shape somewhere.

I get delays, almost every MMO is delayed (like Champions). But where Champions seems to continue to feel like it is being worked on and has a new solid release date, Jumpgate has entered the land of vaporware. I have seen more completed games than Jumpgate never see the light of release.

I'm pulling for you NetDevil.
