Expansion my Great Aunt. Its a PATCH admittedly a big one that may well be the turning point for the game assuming it is done properly but nonetheless its a PATCH being being trumpeted as a "Free expansion"

I am sure someone will argue the point but IMHO if you have to download it to play the game its a patch. Expansions are exactly that expansions they expand on the game already existing. This is merely adding to the core game.

That being said it sounds really good. However with Aventurine's track record it sounds too good to be true.

Lol, what? So how exactly are "expand on the game already existing" and "adding to the core game" different again? Generally a patch fixes bugs while an expansion adds them--er--adds new content. In reality though, they're both the same. Boxed expansions fix bugs, large patches add content...differentiating them in any meaningful way is silly.

If Aventurine continues to offer free expansions, kudos to them; finally a company doing it the proper way (nod to CCP as well), IMO.
