"I think it comes down to: Do you want to solo or team play most of the time? Solo, then stick with PvP. If group play then try a PvP game"

Or solo for PvE even :) Ya know what I mean.. possibly

I don't understand, what's wrong with being "ganked"(we old timers would say Pk'ed, during more civilized times) by ambushers? The danger and hardships IS the whole fun with these games.

Is it better in WAR or WoW, where killing is a great way to get back to camp to hand in those boring quests? World of Yawning, more like.

Nothing wrong with being ganked or ganking someone, it's the whole focus of free-form pvp games. The problem lies in the fact that Darkfall has a horrid melee combat system implementation, and there are still geometry exploits happening every minute, but those are mere design issues.

The larger problem is how they've boned every player that was told up front they would be allowed to transfer to NA1 at launch, which has now turned into 3 months perhaps, and probably going to cost money as well. I'd resub if I could just transfer my account blank, and re-create a new character without having to purchase the client for a second time. I won't tho because I'm not about to pay another $50 for something like that right now.

Lastly, they still haven't disclosed:

- The NA publisher
- Cost of the NA client
- Cost of the NA sub (tho probably $15 as usual per western MMO's)
- Given a clear time frame and any associated cost for EU1 > NA1 account migrations.

As it stands, Darkfall is still a MMO run by extreme amateurs, and it shows in the severe lack of professional communication.

extreme amateurs............
yea, youre right, theyre no high educated and experienced managers as it seems right now and past few years. BUT, they created game we love, because of its adrenaline, omg, no game gave me so much heart beating like df..... Try to be in the middle of wild, alone, nothing to hear just your steps.... looking around like a paranoic....thats the game!!! im not one of the best, im not even one of the very good pvpr, but i like this atmosphere so much...

and btw, it is soloable, you can have lot of fun solo. but youll never reach some targets exactly like in others mmos.

Actually, I'm not a troll. I am merely explaining what Darkfall is. If you like to consider me a troll just because I'm giving a negative view of the game, then I will proceed to call and label you as a "fanboy", since people like to throw these lame terms around left and right. The best way to describe DarkFall is back during Ultima Online. The game clearly is about the ugly, bad side that was of Ultima Online. The gankers and greifers. Take that of Ultima Online and multiply it.

All I'm saying, if you expecting the beauty you remember about Ultima Online, you in for a slap in the face. No place is safe? Sure, but it's no different then full pvp on WoW, besides the fact that you can lose things. So many people run around in cheap armor or nude to go level up skills. How Epic and engrosing is that, that people don't wear the great armor they find and just store it in the bank all day?

And how can you consider me a troll, when I basically explain the same thing you did, by telling PvE people to stay clear and let them know my experience with the game?

Again, I don't appreciate you calling me a troll when I have a different opinion than you. If I just said, "Lol, Darkfall is Darkfail cause it sucks" then I would love you to call me a troll. And if you play the game, How about you start sticking up for the lowbies that play the game and defend some beginner towns instead of just jacking around caring about yourself?

Thanks.
