One of the most common questions asked regarding Star Wars: The Old Republic and the easily accessible Jedi is, "Who's going to take on an army of Jedi?" We've long since had the answer tucked away here at Massively, but now BioWare has been kind enough to illustrate it for us in their latest timeline update, which features the fearsome Mandalorians.
The nomadic Mandalorians are strikingly unique and much like the Jedi and Sith in that sense they're not an actual species; yet war is their singular goal in life. Their mantra is that strength is not merely good, it is great, it brings honor through battle. Thus, it's no surprise that Mandalorians are generally opposed to the Jedi and get along better with the power hungry Sith. At this point, the Republic Trooper's coutnerpart is pretty obvious. That powerful Jedi army doesn't seem so intimidating against legions of Sith, Bounty Hunters and bred-for-war Mandies, now does it?
We highly recommend you check out the timeline video. It's not only informative, but quite entertaining if you've got even the slightest amount of interest in Star Wars: The Old Republic.

I love the fact that the Jedi will not be so uber.

Man Star Wars makes no sense anymore, so many problems with the timeline and stories which contradict eachother. I don't understand why anyone still cares about Star Wars, nothing good has come of it since Ewoks. ToR doesn't even look good, it has the most retarded character models and weapons models I've ever seen and the Armour looks really poor. I bet you can't even be a neutral Bounty Hunter, selling the the highest bidder. Instead you'll probably have to pick a side which will make no sense. I bet Jedi loot light sabers too which again makes no sense.

I enjoyed the update and look forward to seeing how they intend to use Mandalorians, assuming this is the counter to the Trooper class for the Republic.

I doubt the mandos will end up as a class, in the bounty hunter dev blog they stated they were not iconic enough to be playable, so it would be weird if they changed their mind now. An NPC mando faction seems imminent though.

The Bounty Hunter's starting storyline involves them joining the Great Hunt for the Mandalorians, so it seems like having Mandalorian as a separate class would detract from that experience for BHs. Plus Smugglers and Bounty Hunters are parallels from opposite factions.
