And thus concludes the Tri-Fecta of MMO has beens: Brad McQuaid, Richard Garriott and now Mark Jacobs.

Long overdue, don't confuse ego with passion.

I could not care much about the news one way or another. I think the history of Bioware may have two phases, pre-sale and post. All it will take is their new owners pushing the release of an un-polished game and the years and years of good will for their stellar products will be gone.

I hope this is not the case but the PR for Dragon Age already smells like homogenization mixed with BS, and that is on top of what otherwise seems like a good game. I am glad the owners got a big pay day for all their work but I am sorry I won't be playing the great games I once did once EA runs them into the ground.

My Jaw literally just fell the the floor when I heard this news. I been playing BioWare games since Baldurs Gate. And I've been playing Mythics origional MMO baby Dark Age of Camelot on and off for 7 years since February of 2002 and this is either really really good news or really really bad news I was truly afraid for Mythic after EA acquired them dreading something like what happened to Westwood studio's where their staff and IP was gobbled up and cannibalized and the studio disbanded but maybe just maybe Bioware can give Mythic the much needed stimp pack injection *nay* rather injection of RPG infused anabolic steroids that Mythic needs to get back on stage again and deliver us some great gaming moments. BTW if you think the RvR in Warhammer Online is an even remotely cool take on PvP you should try the origional Dark Age of Camelot for some great fights whether it be keep or relic siege with 3 realms of 300+ people each, or some really great 8v8 fights its an experience you have to try.

I have mostly positive feelings about this. Bioware is hands down my favorite game co. and from a customer service standpoint Mythic is also a great company (even though WAR kinda stunk).

Bioware has a knack for putting out games that people love (in fact Baldur's Gate was the title that hooked me into the fantasy genre long ago). If they take the strengths from each company and leave the weaknesses behind, what you're left with has amazing potential. It'll be interesting to see what comes of it.
