At the moment it's great fun, and surprisingly polished/bug-free. Still got to check most of the lairs and the tomb of the vulture lord, though.

Can anyone comment on the state of RvR on the NA servers? I enjoyed my time in Warhammer Online, but the World PVP seemed fun, but rather pointless after a while.

Eeegads, I liked the scenarios. I know people got bored of them but scenario-craft was basically the game I was looking for.

I'd like to know this too. I played Warhammer during the closed beta and it had great promise, but after release, Teir 4 RvR devolved into zergtastic RvE snoredom. Has Land of the dead re-energized small scale fighting? Are their 6-man teams running amok in there? Or is it more of the same... zerg vs zerg and set up a macro to play the game while I read a book?

well what started today was the 1 day early acess the winning realm of the event got.there's improvements to open RvR and more ways to get gear in it now.A lot of the issues still remain.Land of the dead rvr is still uknown as only one realm is in it for today, tomorrow we shall now.A lot of issues still remain but the game has been polished pretty good, biggest group still wins most of the time honestly. However there is a re enlistment campaign where old accounts get free 10 days i seriously suggest arabic and stupid try em and see where the game is at now

Actually the access for the LotD is controlled by a system that works pretty well against population imbalance.
Basically when the winning side gets all the resources to enter the area the losing side retains the resources they pilled up untill there. And the winning side will have to refill their bar from the beginning.

Actually what I was referring to is the side with the most people got first access to the new zone.

As to the zone itself, once you own it, probably the over populated side, you can hold it indefinitely by blocking the other side once they open it.

Like I said, woot population imbalance.

You know once the other side opens it, the previous holders can't respawn, right?

I mean, you can get a rez, sure, but it's easy numbers - a force pushing downhill out of the warcamp, when they can respawn at the top of the hill, will beat a force trying to hold them there, who can't respawn at all.

If there's anything to complain about is that the loosers of the events got "rewarded" by a day of free reign in the RvR zones and capital cities with no one defending. It's the only flaw of the game at the moment, loosers get rewarded too much for sucking.

I'm one of those losers and oRVR is a bore fest and there are 0 scenarios popping. So if by rewarding you mean logging out for another night getting nowhere you are correct sir! ;)

Have you ever thought that if you get nowhere it may be your fault and not the game's fault? Personally, I get lots opf fun from RvR every night, wheter we have the advantage in numbers or not. Lots of others feel the same.
So I'm afraid the problems lays in you (or in your realm, looks like some realms in some servers are quite full of sore loosers), not in the game. Sorry.

Looks like we have a whiner "It's all population imbalance's fault! I swear! It's not our fault if we loose! It's the system! Society! His momma!"

Just finished playing now, played all the PQs and lairs, had a blast and didn't encounter any real bug. One of the most beautifully designed areas in a MMO, polished content, and fun encounters with nice mechanics. Mythic really delivered, in the face of trolls and whiners.

I wonder if you're the same "Abriael" that doesn't play on PT anymore because it got rolled by Destro to much. You sure sound like him.

Glad you got to run everything. Makes you a better person than the rest of us! Glad you don't have population issues to whine about. I'm sure you also get to go to every fort raid when you spend a couple hours locking the zone too. Damn I wish I was on that server. Where do you play, maybe I can move there and you can show me how awesome the realm is.

Actually I switched server to follow some friends when the KOTBS came out, since i had to reroll anyway. And guess what, when I moved, on PT order and destro were quite balanced, for sure we didn't get "rolled" at all. No capital had been attacked yet. On my destination server (Volkmar), on the contrary, destro was dominant that month (shining way got attacked 12 times in one day day once, was pretty fun to defend it) and order started to dominate quite a bit later.
So I'm afraid your insinuation is rather pointless. Sore looser much? If your realm is being kicked in the face, maybe it's time to stop whining about "population imbalance" (that normally is just perceived) and getting your rear in gear.

Well good to hear Abriael is still as fanatical as ever. Like another poster I'd like to know the state of RvR, even though I don't see my self coming back soon. (tried it again a few weeks ago, blah).

PS: It's spelled "loser".

This game was designed to be fun with numbers, if you play on an emtpy server yes, you will bitch and moan about it. Roll on a more popular server, i played on Vortex for 6 months, sucked. I rolled Dark Crag, Love it..,.....Nothing but action. People in this world love to bitch about stuff first before taking the action to fix the problem they control. Mythic can't force people to buy the game, install it and log into your server to make the game fun for you......in DAOC i moved from server to server to get the fun cause it required people for the concept to work......
