Massively's Runes of Magic in-game event a success!

If you weren't able to make it out for our Runes of Magic in-game event last night, it was really a lot of fun! It was great to 'meet' so many Runes of Magic players, and readers of the website.

I started off the evening on the Artemis server, where it took me a bit of trial and error to get the whole speed-cut-paste-between-windows thing down before the chat window scrolled the names away. Two hours later, I finished up on the PvP server Grimdal having met some interesting readers. I have to say, never have I encountered a group of more polite people. I must've heard more pleases and thank-yous than I've heard in a long time, both in-game and out. Even on the PvP server!
So I figured that you readers and the attendees might be interested in hearing some stats on the turn-out, broken down by server.

Artemis: 24
Osha: 9
Govinda: 34
Grimdal: 21

Not astronomically huge numbers (c'mon Osha!), but not bad for a spur-of-the-moment event in half-hour intervals. A big thank you goes out to the guild leader on Govinda who told his guild about the event, because that's where those high numbers came from!

Keeping track of the attendees gave me an idea though: why not make the next event a contest among servers? Seems like it might be fun. So that's exactly what I'm going to do. We'll do this same thing again in Logar with my character 'MassiveShawn' on Thursday night, starting at 9pm EST this time.

Artemis: 9:00pm - 9:30pm EST
Osha: 9:30pm - 10:00pm EST
Govinda: 10:00pm - 10:30pm EST
Grimdal: 10:30pm - 11:00pm EST

Whichever server has the most people asking for codes gets a return visit from me at 11pm EST for even more codes!

Aww I'm on Osha. I completely forgot about the little get together. I was too busy enjoying the game leveling!

This was really fun. Overall, I found the players of Runes of Magic to be among the most friendly folks in any MMO I have yet played-- f2p or p2p.

I also alerted my guild (Osha! Represent!) to the giveaway in Logar, but some had trouble whispering or finding Shawn in Logar.

Two guild mate got an "MassiveShawn is offline" message when they tried to whisper. A few kept trying though. Some got through. And we all agree the gloves look quite fit.
