Fallen Earth is up on File Planet with some open beta/stress test thing happening next week. That might be fun for the day.

In Aion CB2 now and enjoying it much more than I expected. Other than that, the truth is I'm only thinking about the Starcraft II beta....

Honestly there are three games I want to hear about most of all:
Final Fantasy XII (why is this not in the upcoming MMOs dropdown at the yop of the page?)
SWTOR
and APB

Erm naturally I meant to say Final Fantasy XIV.
I don't mind FF XII not being covered :P

Champions Online, despite what I think of their beta preview promotions they seem to be putting in some long overdue systems into Champions. The fun is staying in, the tedium and subscription shenanigans are coming out.

If they can do that and still maintain profitability perhaps it will encourage other MMORPG developers to do the same.Because you really shouldn't sit around a table and agree to slow down leveling time by averaging 30 minutes of travel time per play session.That...there should be a law against crap like that :)

The other one is Star Wars, the Old Republic - another MMORPG that is taking a different approach. The storytelling etc. would be awesome.

Star Trek Online by Cryptic has also peaked my interest, but I'm in two minds about it after reading some commentary on the combat. We'll have to see how that one pans out.

Champions Online. It looks so great that everything else is just background noise now.

Earthrise, nothing else comes close for me.

EVE level depth of crafting set on a planet (no ships, just the usual character avatar) with all the territorial PVP and guild politics but without that... difficult.. early start and lost feeling that leaves a lot of players feeling cold and isolated.

It looks as though it's going to break away from that levels crap as well to a skill based system, hopefully meaning no more empty 'low level' dead zones after the first few months launch. I really hope they don't drop the ball with this one, so much promise if they can implement half the current ideas for it. If you're truly looking for something different take a look when it's ready.

Failing that Cities XL. What sort of player who loves building and crafting could resist an online sim city.

I'm watching the Mortal Online beta right now, and that is all I want at the moment. Since I've tried a FFA full loot system when I played DFO, thats the only kind of MMO I want to play. Also because MO is focusing more on realism than fantasy, skill is more important than ever as you can kill somebody with a few swings of a sword!

The only hopes that I have for the game are that they keep this combat system, they keep the crafting system that they planned, and that the game isn't a huge grindfest. Grinding is what got me burnt out from Darkfall.

I pre-ordered Aion, partly to get into beta, but I can't play it because I run Windows 7 32-bit. Aion's anti-cheating rootkit, Game Guard, apparently doesnt like Windows 7.

I'm tempted to preorder Aion just for beta, but APB really has my eye and I've just about given up hope on Champions Online beta. Which kind of sucks cause looking back at my mmo purchasing history, it seems I'm more likely to buy games I've betaed. I guess its the headstart with community building. Never liked being the "one guy out".
