Another good one, LP.

I must confess, I'm kinda fascinated with Cities XL because they're daring to be different when everybody else seems to be doing variations on the same damn thing over and over.

I do want to try it out at some point ...

BUT

For the life of me, I can't figure out how it will stay engaging after the first month.

Guess we'll have to wait and see ...

Cities XL is the first MMO that gave my wife pause, so that's something. Even if I don't play it I'm excited about new branches of MMO evolution. Cities XL has me fully engaged as a spectator and interested bystander.

It will probably fly under the radar because it doesn't involve acquiring totally epic loot through dragon slaying and pillaging but hopefully it will hit the mark in enough ways to keep it afloat which in this WoW dominated MMO market is a feat in itself.
